Fully-funded 4-year PhD on socio-economic resilience & post-disaster recovery assessment

We invite applications for a fully-funded 4-year PhD position to study socio-economic resilience and post-disaster recovery assessment. The project will focus on the development of methods to identify and understanding physical and non-physical indicators of post-disaster recovery and associated resilience with remote sensing image analysis, and to understand socio-economic drivers behind observed recovery using spatial agent-based modelling. The study will focus on the recovery situation following Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines in November 2013.
