The Regional Workshop on SETI in DRR in Asia and the Pacific with the theme of “Strengthening, Empowering, and Mobilizing Youth and Young Professionals in SETI for DRR” was mainly held by UNESCO, LIPI (IRDR NC Indonesia) and UNISDR in Serpong on 1-4 November 2018.

This workshop is the essential compentent of the Indonesia Science Expo 2018 which the President of Indonesia came to open.  The student participation was excellent.  The sessions and speakers were well thought of.  The road map was discussed in details through group discussion, and specific suggestions were provided. The higher education part was also discussed.

IRDR NC Indonesia, IRDR ICoE-REaL, IRDR SC member Prof. Rajib Shaw and several IRDR young scientists participated the workshop and made valuable contributions.

IRDR and its partnerships will keep to support the young generations involved in DRR. Now the 4th round of IRDR Young Scientists Programme has opened for application. We look forward to more young scientists to work with IRDR.
